TIANA Organic Crystallised Raw Coconut Nectar (known as coconut sugar in the Far East) is a fabulously delicious, unrefined, unfiltered and unbleached guilt-free sugar replacement that contains no additives or preservatives.

Freshly granulated from the sweet nectar of coconut blossom, these natural nectar crystals have far richer nutritional content than all other commercially available sugars or sweeteners.

TIANA Organic Crystallised Coconut Nectar is a light golden colour, because the sugars in the nectar did not caramelize from heat.

Premium quality TIANA organic crystallised raw coconut nectar, it is different to palm sugar and coconut palm sugars that are often mixed with cane sugar or various malt based ingredients available on the market.

Organic coconut nectar used for the production of TIANA crystallised coconut sugar-free replacement is collected every four hours ensuring that it will be crystallised immediately to avoid fermentation.

If coconut nectar is kept for several hours it will ferment and could not be crystallised. That is why some coconut sugars are mixed with preservatives or additives such as calcium hydroxide or sodium meta-bi-sulphite or blended with cane sugar, palm coconut tree sugar or malt based sweeteners. Therefore these types of coconut sugar will have to be processed much longer and as a fact, will have lower nutritional values, a higher Glycemic index and usually a dark brown colour with impurities that have darkened the colour.

TIANA is absolutely free from any kind of chemicals such as phosphoric acid, formic acid, sulphur dioxide, preservatives of any bleaching agents or viscosity modifies.

The difference between TIANA crystallized coconut nectar and agave syrup

Agave is ultra-concentrated fructose syrup made from the starch of the agave plant.  Numerous research shows that high levels of fructose have been associated with fructose mal-absorption, which has been linked to obesity and diabetes.

The difference between TIANA crystallized coconut nectar and xylitol

Xylitol is a natural low-Glycemic sweetener made from corn cobs; however some people may experience an allergic reaction to xylitol.

There are reports suggesting that some people might be allergic to xylitol. In most cases it appears to be people that are allergic to corn (raw material for xylitol production).

Xylitol can be also made from birch and sometimes called “birch sugar” because the principal raw ingredient in its manufacture is wood fibre.

The difference between TIANA crystallized coconut nectar and palm sugar /coconut palm sugar

There are varieties of sugar palm tree such as: aren palm (arenga pinnata), coconut palm (cocos Nucifera), date palm (phoenix sylvestris), kitual palm or Indian sago palm (caryota urens) and palmura palm (borassus flabellifer).

TIANA has a light golden colour and is made from coconut blossom of Cocos Nucifera.

Palm sugar has usually a dark colour and is made from the sugary sap of the Palmura Palm.
Coconut palm sugar, found in the Far East markets, have a golden brown colour and often contain additives to lighten its colour.  Sold in a granulated, block or liquid form that generally is not 100% pure coconut palm sugar, but is a blend with cane sugar and also malt sugars.
When coconut palm sugar is boiled down longer, it then crystallizes into a block.
Palm sugar may be labeled as coconut sugar and vice versa.
